Comprehensive Health Network (CHN) staff will review your insurance benefits with you and discuss your options to cover the cost of your care. We bill your insurance directly and require no payment up-front from you.
Medicare
To be eligible to utilize Medicare’s home health benefit, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be basically homebound.
- Require a skilled service – nursing, physical therapy or speech therapy.
- Services are intermittent and must be reasonable and necessary.
- Have a face-to-face encounter with your physician for the reason you are receiving home care.
Traditional Medicare provides payment in full for all qualifying home care services – skilled services, supportive personal care during that period, and most medical supplies (wound care supplies, urological supplies and colostomy supplies). You pay nothing out-of-pocket.
Medicare Advantage Plans may have some benefit differences. CHN staff will review those differences with you.
Medicaid
CHN accepts payment from Medicaid and several state funded programs designed specifically to help Ohioans of all ages to remain safely in their homes. The state recognizes the cost-effective services that home care provides.
Medicaid also provides payment in full for all qualifying home care services. You pay nothing out-of-pocket.
