Position Overview

Family Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled School-Based Therapist/Counselor to provide mental health services to students in a school setting. This full-time, school-year position (August through May) plays a vital role in supporting students’ emotional well-being, behavioral health, and academic success through counseling, crisis intervention, and collaboration with school staff and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing emotional, behavioral, and social concerns
  • Conduct assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and school personnel to support student success
  • Participate in IEP and Student Support Team meetings when appropriate
  • Consult with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
  • Provide psychoeducation and prevention programming (coping skills, emotional regulation, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Coordinate referrals to community resources and ensure continuity of care
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
  • Current Ohio licensure or license-eligible (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, LMFT, or equivalent)
  • Ability to diagnose and treat mental health conditions using DSM-5 criteria
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience working with children/adolescents preferred

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Full-time, aligned with the school calendar (August–May)
  • School-based setting (elementary, middle, and/or high school)

Family Health is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Cross-Trained Optician/Optometric Technician.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Vision Coordinator and Vision Director. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a rotating Saturday morning schedule.

The Cross-Trained Optician/Optometric Technician will provide both clinical and optical support services to ensure exceptional patient care throughout the vision services experience.

Responsibilities include assisting providers with patient care and diagnostic testing, obtaining patient histories, educating patients regarding eye health and vision correction options, fitting and dispensing eyewear and contact lenses, and supporting efficient clinic operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with providers, patients, and fellow team members to deliver high-quality vision care while promoting patient satisfaction and supporting the mission of Family Health.
