Family Health’s Medically Supervised Weight Loss Program
Why was program created?
Here at Family Health we believe that all people, regardless of body size should be treated equally. We are working hard to bring you an environment that is free of stigma and shame and allows you a safe space to share your weight struggles without judgement. We want you to feel heard, accepted, and valued every time you step into Family Health. Our BTP Program is an extension of that concept- we don’t want you to just feel heard, accepted and valued- we want you to feel empowered and supported and be given the necessary tools to help you lose weight and be successful keeping weight off long-term.
Who could benefit from BTP?

Expectations and goals for treatment
Obesity is a chronic disease, meaning that we can treat the condition but we must commit to a lifelong lifestyle change system to help us be successful. Just as with diabetes or high blood pressure or any other disease. Diseases like diabetes and hypertension require patients to follow treatment plans that help them better care for themselves long-term. Obesity like many other conditions can reoccur and worsen over time. That is why those who struggle with their weight must always be willing to bring awareness to the condition and work to find ways to create sustainable changes and find treatment options that work best for them, long-term.
What is the Cost?
Family Health strives to bring cost effective services to our patients, we want our weight management services to be no different. We will strive to make Beyond the Pounds accessible to all who are motivated. We will make every attempt to bill insurance for services offered, however we encourage you to call your insurance and ask them the questions listed below before committing to our program. Weight management services are not always covered by insurance. If you choose to go the patient pay route we offer a 30% pay upfront discount. We can provide you a fee schedule and an estimated cost of labs to help you prepare for the program. Meal Replacements bars/shakes are not reimbursed by insurance and must be paid by participant out of pocket. Medications may or may not be covered by insurance. We will do our very best to work with you, but calling your insurance prior to the start of the program will help determine your cost of all services offered.
